hey guys

i have a 6" polypterus senegalus in a 10 gallon quarantine tank. it's been in there for a week so far. i had a busy day last sunday and missed a water change and on monday i noticed white worms both on the glass and free swimming in the water. i've been doing daily 50% water changes since then and i've been fasting the senegal since tuesday to lower the amount of nutrients in the water.

is there anything else i should be doing?

thanks

They are harmless. Continue with the water changes, vacuming the bottom and keep excess food & feces from acumulating on the bottom of the tank. They will go away.

Its a bate bottom tank. Should I be trying to siphon them off the glass? I just checked and there are less worms but there are tiny 2 mm ones crawling on the bottom.

If it's bare bottom just keep the tank very clean and they will go away.
