I know Bloodworms as a staple can't be good long term seeing as 100% protein is never a good staple. The problem is he dosen't even go after flakes,so should i keep feeding my severum flake until the Sveni eats them or is there a different way to get this guy to eat a prepared food?

I would try to use pellets instead of flakes. It might be just me, but I can't see a large fish eating flakes as a big part of their diet. My pike never eats flakes, but it does eat sinking carnivore pellets and algea wafers(along with just about every type of frozen food).

Pikes will generally do better if you get them on sinkin foods pellets...i only know of a few people that have their pikes eating flakes. Hikari sinkin carnivoure and NLS are some great ones, but there are many many out there! ;)

OK,this guy is super-picky,not to mention a shut in too. So,it seems like he'll only take bloodworms,i've tried pellets and it's seems like he'd rather die!!!!!!!!!!!! And he aint dyin' on my watch.I am feeding the Hikari Vitamin enhanced Bloodworms, will this Vitamin complex A.)Be good as a staple seeing he won't eat pellets B.)Will this having Vites in it keep HITH&HLLE at bay??????

mine have starting to eat artemia.thats realy more nutrisious

Get some sinkin pellets, like the ones mentioned above, especially the Hikari sinkin carnivour pellets. ALSO get some Mysis shirmp...they are great and fish love them. Next, get a container, fill it half way with water. Put the bloodworms, any pellets, and mysis shrimp in it together. Allow them to completely thaw together. Then feed it. Start out with more bloodworms in the ratio of foods, and gradually cut back on the amount of bloodworms until you are no longer adding them to the mix. The smell of the bloodworms will be on the food, so the pike will be more open to eating them. It should work. Do it over the period of a week or a week and a half.

I'll start that regimen A.S.A.P. seeing as i have all those ingredients already(minus Mysis).I love this little Saxatilis and put 85% of my attention on him,so i'll do anything to get him munchin' prepared foods:D These guys jewel up hardcore when there adults, can't wait:):)
