Yes, I'm that desperate for this thing to show up as it should.

The background sticks on well enough, but how do you guys get them to really show? Over time it gradually became clearer, and with the lights off it's perfectly visible, but with the lights on there are 'dark spots' where it isn't, assumedly, completely stuck to the glass.

A picture for reference:

Taken with my phone so excuse the crap quality. Also my angels decided to jump into the photo!

Is it just a normal paper background? I used Hagen Background Adhesive, works great. Bought it from Amazon, but you could probably find it at most local shops.

It's that plastic-y paper, yes. Do you have to smear the adhesive all over the back of the tank for it to be effective?

Use this method for years: take the background sponge the side that goes on the tank till its dripping wet, tape to one edge using clear tape the roll out the other side but before u tape it get a credit card or something flat like a ruler and squeegee and scrape the back of the background do get all bubble out and make image visible evenly. Once done tape the other side.

Yeah I heard about using a credit card... So just wetting it alone is enough? No adhesive or oil etc needed?
