Getting the last of my sand out.

I've decided to go bare bottom. I have about a cup of sand left in my tank that I want out. Anyone have any tricks? I've tried to vac it out but it just swirls in the tube and doesn't come all the way out. Such a headache.

Use a smaller diameter hose (or just remove the large vac tube from it's hose), and siphon into a bucket. The smaller hose will suck much harder than a gravel vac, and will get the sand easily.

if that dosent work just take a net and scoop the rest out

use your hand to brush all the sand into a pile in one corner, then suck it out. that worked for me to get the last sand out

This is what I did as well
