Getting the red to show on your Fahaka?

I can see some hints of the red lines I have seen in pictures... but they aren't shining through. I feed brine shrimp, beefheart and VHP...all frozen. He is about 4" and lives alone in a 29gal with two filters, and an airstone. I add salt to the tank as well. I change 50% of the water almost every week. What else does it need other than a bigger tank in the future?

Frozen shrimp from the grocery store shell on and raw ....mine shows red nicely

Anything it will eat with carotin in it. Things like large krill.
