This is going to be my first one.
I just sold my kenyan sand boa yesterday, so it will go in the empty 20 gallon long.

It's a male CB 2010, under six months old. About two feet.
I'm guessing the tank will be good enough for him for at least a year.

I'm going to use eco-earth substrate, my favourite substrate to use and I've heard good things when used for BPs unless you have a different opinion.. You should let me know if that's the case.

I know there are some of you with fancy morphs who may be rolling your eyes at this normal, but I'm still very excited. Haha.

very cool. Eco earth will be fine for it. let us know how it goes when you get it!

Very nice! I'm jealous.

Eco-Earth comes in bricks, and you have to soak them apart, no? Make sure you thoroughly dry it out before using it. Ball Pythons appreciate a little bit of humidity, but not actual wet.

Actually I ended up getting him for only $5..
I showed up with $40, the seller was running late, and she had brought me 2 as a compensation. I ended up turning over the other one quickly for $35 as I don't have room at the moment to properly care for another one.
Always appreciate altruism in this hobby, I've been nice to people in the past and I really do believe in reptile/fish-karma. Hah.

He's been behaving amazing so far. Great temperament that I've only heard about in ball pythons.

He's peed on two of my friends so far, but not me. But mind you they had no idea what they were doing.

Here is the enclosure + the ball

Right now he's in a 20 gallon long with eco-earth substate and natural cork as the hide.

Under six months old at the moment, just under 2 feet, so I think I will keep him in here for a year or so and then upgrade to a bigger enclosure with a more elaborate set up.

No light, heat pad instead. I think I should probably upgrade the waterdish rather soon, looking around for a decent looking one.

Nice. A 20 long is plenty big enough. Ball Pythons are somewhat agorophibic. In fact some people suggest painting all but the front glass pane black so they feel like they are hidden. And he might appreciate a bigger water dish to soak.

He's gorgeous. I'm jealous! Everyone has Ball Pythons but me... I'll stick to my Garter Snakes and Kenyan Sand Boas :D
