So, long story. A while back, probably in april-may i decided i wanted to breed my then 4.5'' red headed severum. Over the summer i got a 5.5'' female rotkeil from jeff rapps in july, and kept them both in there own 30 gallon tank until a couple months ago(august probably). I transfered the two fish to their own 55 gallon with another smaller female so the male rotkeil would have a choice. on monday he finally chose the smaller new one so back to the 30 gallon with the rapps one. For 2 days they have been taunting me. the female is wiggling and cleaning off smooth round stones but the male doesnt do anything. How do i get them to spawn?

Nope. Once you've done all you can, you just have to wait for them to do their thang. Messing with them after all the necessary stuff is done will just disrupt their bonding process.
2 whole days!? Jk. But seriously ive seen cichlids take 2 weeks or more going through all the cleaning, nesting, and everything until finally they lay eggs. Its nerve recking i know. If you can sneek in a cold water change here and there that usually helps. By cold water i mean crank ur heater to 82 and use the coldest tap water possible to refill.

might be making them 
so put on some Marvin *** and turn the lights down.I know 2 days isn't that long but I'm just tired of it because it took 2 Months for him to choose.
