So i have some small ocellaris and all they want to eat is live food. I know this is common, but I would like to get them off of it asap. I have tried blood worms, krill, brine, flakes, floating and sinking pellets, they wont touch em'. What is the easiest thing to convert them on, and how long can i let them go with out eating when they are only 3"?

yea that Sticky that Dieselmack created is your best bet in converting you cichlas onto non-live foods =] I used this to get my Orinos onto raw shrimp earlier and yet they are fat and healthy...

Their growth will slow way down if you take them off live food. I would wait a few more inches if it were me.

It only took a few days of starving before mine starting hitting the Frozen Bloodworms.

thanks for the link, sorry i didn't find it before posting

No worries bro :)

It does slow them down unlike when they eat live food directly and is good to grow them at a big stable size but I would just feed them live all day and everyday until they get about 7-8"...I would just feed guppies, rosies, mealworms, earthworms, crickets...but no goldfish...=) but thats just me lol
