I was wondering if there is any difference between a Giant Gourami and a Giant Red Tail Gourami personality wise? A few years ago, I did some research and decided to keep a RTGG but it didn't turn out to be what I've expected. A few years before that, my father in law had a Giant Albino Gourami and it was very active, always swimming around when anyone goes up close to it and would eat like crazy, but comparing to my RTGG, it was shy and doesn't seem to eat much. I tried pellets, shrimp, fruits and vegetable and it doesn't seem to have much interested in it. It might take a few bite and that was it.
Right now, I'm planning to give it another try and is deciding between an albino GG or a RTGG? I like the way the RTGG look compare to a GG but if all RTGG have that type of personality, then I would prefer a GG. Does anyone else see this difference between the 2 type of GG? Should I try buying a few RTGG and grow them together and then keep the one I like the best or should I just go with an albino GG?
