Hey guys,

I don't know why, but i love the look of this fish... its damn UNIQUE, and sexy! lol...

LFS offered me a 8cm one for $25 .... how compatible is this with flowerhorn and Green Terror?

Its simply amazing :D

Aha, well can someone tell me a GOOD looking catfish that should be available in Australia, which I can keep in my tank then?

Need something down bottom, to clean up the remains lol...

I have a black ghost knife in a tank with my EBJD and delhezi and have never had any issues. the black ghost knife stays hidden until feeding time and waits until the JD is occupied with his own food to snag some.

^^ LOL yeah TRUST me, I saw the fish LIVE today...as I do almost everytime I walk into random pet shops...

And im in love with it... so I came home did some responsible research, and I have decided IF I have an attempt, I will give him/her LOTS of hiding spaces... places thin enough ONLY for the Ghost.

However, If the fish does get hammered by my FH or GT, i will take him back, and exchange him for compatible fish. Don't worry, I don't let my fish die on purpose, I will simply just exchange him, instead of letting him get bullied around :) thanks

I picked up one about the same size. I was told that they were very aggressive (which surprised me, but I went with what I was told). The clerk suggested he go into my Cichlid tank versus my Community tank so he didn't kill off my "friendly community" (his words). Again, a bit dis-believing, I put him in my Cichlid tank. A couple days later, I had to pull him out of a 4"er's mouth!

I isolated him, but he died the following day. I know an adult BGK can be semi-aggressive, but at 8cm, he is looked at as a snack by any adult Cichlid!

Take care...

Most will tell you not to, but I've been lucky enough to keep mine with cichlids with no problems. See my signature, my BGK has been with all of them at one point or another(including my GT). In my experience, I have never had a cichlid act remotely aggressive towards my BGK, I call it the weird factor. When I first introduced it to my tank, my jack was an 8" horror movie style killer, there was a divider dividing him off from other growout fish and the 3" BGK (now 5-6"), the BGK had a bad habit of getting around the divider, even then the jack would get close but never attack, and would often flee quickly from the BGK, pleco's and other growout that found a way past divider were all beheaded. These days my 8" male jack and 5-6" BGK are often side by side at the top of the tank eating blood-worms (meant for the BGK but my jacks a gluten).
