Unfortunately during spring break I suffered 5 casualties (Not bad when things are considered) 1 Cory panda, 2 Oreochromis babies, and... the 2 "Ghost" flowerhorns.... DANG!

Thats blows. Sorry to hear about that.
Were you gone for a while? I won't even have people watch my fish anymore unless I'm gone for more than a week. If its one week I might have someone feed then once, a day or two before I get home, but for the most part I trust my fish to take care of themselfs better than my non-fishkeeping friends.

Nobody was watching them - They were in a dorm, so the room was a constant temp, and they had week-long feeder things in the tank. They were the only casualties. In another tank, my Midas, balloon belly convicts, etc were just fine.

I'm not sure how they died - The week-long feeders weren't a concern because there definitely wasn't going to be any leftover food whatsoever. My 2 rare Leporinus make sure of this. This is the only tank that was affected (other than the cory panda in another tank) I'm thinking they caught a bug. The tougher Leporinus survived, so this makes sense to me. Either way, it does suck.
