Ghost shrimp and cichlids

The ghost shrimp are probably not being gut loaded with color enhancing foods, so I think there is little to no value for color IMO, perhaps they confused it with krill or something

I just read an article in an old Bundtbarsche Bulletin about gut loading feeders, very Interesting. I also use krill.

I know its a good idea I just doubt the OP's LFS is gut loading their ghost shrimp. I imagine its worth doing if breeding your own feeders, like reptile folks do

I'm considering trying it at home, I've actually done it w/ shrimp b4 and watched them fill up and turn brown from pellets on the Inside, pretty cool actually. I have a colony of guppies In my patio pond w/ Centrals for the summer too.

I've been wanting to do something like that for occasional snacks for my eels using some "liberty mollies" but don't feel worth doing since it wouldn't be a staple diet, just treats
