I was wondering if ghost shrimp are categorically eaten up in a mbuna tank even if there is a lot of rockwork and many hiding spots? Would this just be torture for the shrimp? I know most people use them as feeders, but I wanted some for interest. If they are forced into deep hiding and are always stressed, I don't suppose it would be very interesting plus I would feel very badly for them.

My fish are not too big-- the biggest are 4-5" snow whites and there is pretty low aggression so far.

On the other side of the coin, how big do fry or juvies have to be to be safe with ghost shrimp? I know someone who lost fry to them.

Thanks!!!

Its basicly like this, if the Shrimp see anything bigger than them eat a shrimp they will go in to hiding, meaning they would eat less and be discouraged to reproduce. You can keep them, but you probably wont see them for a while, just buy a cheap 10 gal tank and make it a shrimp tank. Alsoadult shrimps tend to be agressive to any smaller fish, I.E. your fry.
