Ghost shrimp as feeders

I know that its not a good idea to feed rosy reds or goldfish to cichlids. I have a green terror that is about 3in i was wondering would it be safe to feed him ghost shrimp given their small enough to eat

The shrimp should be okay to feed to your GT...They are commonly sold as feeders but you don't have to use them.There are plenty of pellets to choose from that are better for the Terror and less of a hassle.

I agree.

IMO experance GTs benafit form a diet high in vagatable matter as opposed to a primarly meat based diet. Do to their digestive systems it is sometimes diffacult for them to digest large amounts of meaty foods and then develope a bacterial bloom in there stomachs that is sometimes confused with IP. Long story short it's ok to feed them in moderation but if you can avoid it would be better. NLS or Hakari Bio gold+ are better diets. For a three inch fish NLS 1mm pellets would work.

google shrimp thiaminase. I wouldn't feed them more than once a week.

I feed him hikari gold cichlid i was planning on feeding gs once a week to once every two weeks
