can i use ghost shrimp as feeders for my bass? LFS was out of feeders so i got a dozen of these idiots.

sure no biggie if they dont eat them youll have a nice addition to your tank

Nothing wrong with Ghost shrimp at all for a pinch. They tend to be a little more expensive is all. I bet they dont last long in with the bass lol. Mine love them. If you want to see a real battle, put in some crawfish that are about half the size of your bass.

you sure can....and pretty much prepping them for market shrimp.

i put them in and they were gone in a flash!!

Cichla are smart too. If you put in a whole bunch of those ghost shrimp they will of course eat as many as they can before they hit the bottom. Once those shrimp get into cover they are hard to see, but your bass will sniff them out and hunt for hours cuz they know they are there, just cant see them that well. Pretty neat to watch

ghost shrimp are great, just make sure you dont over feed them.. i like to feed the ghost shrimp a quality crushed pellet before i feed them to my cichla... i also like to snap the spike off of their face before i feed them as well.. this is if your ghost shrimp have the spike

live tubifex worms work great as well if outta feeders. Way cheaper than guppies and ghost shrimp as well.
