ghost shrimp breeding

Do i have to do any thing special for ghost shrimp to breed and are they just like guppies the just breed they would be going in a 5 gal no top will the cwal out thanks every one
 
you will have to get micro bacteria to feed the babys.

your better off breeding red cherry shrimp
 
For feeders but ghost shrimp eat alge i have enough in my tank for babays so you it be easy to breedy them i dont treall have to do any thing but thanks for the feed back
 
i got some in a 5gal and ive seen a fair few babies here and there. I got heaps of java moss in the tank so i dont have to worry about feeding any special micro food or whatever it is
 
you shouldnt have to worry about them climbing out of the tank either, i dont think they can do much out of the water
 
fun fact- apple snail waste is loaded with infusoria, which newly hatched ghost shimp do very well on.
