Hy my smallest male ghost shrimp shed his exoskeletan and it then proceded to get caught in the filter and now my water is all cloudy what should I do?

Also I have three ghost shrimp in a ten gallon tank 2 females and 1 male I just added the second female and now the females are on one side of my tank and the male is on the other is that ok?

Oh yeah what kind of fish can I put in with ghost shrimp that won't eat them?

i would check your test kit to see if your parameter are off, if not i would just wait a few days to see if it goes away.

im sure the shrimp seperation is not a big deal.

you can add any fish that can fit the shrimp in there mouth or smash it in there mouth, mainly small tetras, guppies, etc.
be aware occasionally ghost shrimp can snag small fish and eat them.

The exoskeletan caused a raise in ammonia I have done a 50 percent water change, dechlorinated the water and added a ph tablet to set it to 7.0 also I added two dwarf coral sunset platy's which are luckily to small to eat my shrimp

if you added the platies around the time i would say its them, since the bioload of shrimp is very small compared to fish.

Yeah, the exoskeleton of a ghost shrimp wouldn't do much to the water if you have a healthy tank.

No it is not the platys I added them after I did the water change and the chemicals and so on which means I added them after the water got cloudy. The reason I added them is because the water got better after I did all that stuff. All of the critters in the tank are fine it's just the water that's weird. The amonnia has made the water cloudy and now the weird white gunk has come back and is all over the plants and intake tube it's just weird.

your fish tank tries to balance its self out, the cloudy water and white gunk(maybe fungus of some kind) are using up the nutrients your fish are making.

my lfs' shrimp tank is always cloudy and milky white idk what it is but i could be the shrimp...my shrimps don't live long enough for me to have much personal exp. with them...there food
