Goodmorning everyone.
I wanted to ask if anyone knows where I may possibly be able to get a good price on ghost shrimp. My local pet store carries them but they are kind of on the high side price wise. feeding two peacock bass sbout 3 inches in length. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

My local pet store has them at 10 for a dollar. You can try checking it in local stores.

Or, you can get some RCS and try to breed them. They are prolific breeders and if you can setup a 10gal setup for them, you can harvest quite a bit on a periodic basis I guess

Why not try feeding de-frosted market shrimp used for human consumption? surely this would be a cheaper and more effective in the long run?

x2 More filling too!!! and your best bet would probably be at your local mom & pop shop... I also get them 10 for $1.. it's awesome.. don't pay more than that.. especially when you have other cheaper, just as good options..

Tried to do the breeding thing with ghost shrimp, Have berried females, but yet to see fry. A better alternative may be Mollies, as they are quite prolific. I have had sucess in breeding large amounts for "healthy" feeders for a LMB and Oscar.
