My ghost shrimp is releasing her eggs or fry or what ever they are at this point. Should I continue to feed the shrimp normally, just letting them forage for what ever my platys don't eat and then dropping in a full flake every 2 to 3 days or should I feed them more or do I need special food? Will the babies get sucked up in my filter in-take tube? I know that my platys will eat some and that is fine but will they eat all of them I feed my fish twice a day one crumbled flake in the morning and one crumbled flake at night that should be enough to make them not want to eat the baby ghost shrimp right?

They hatch into larvae initially (and there are some species which require brackish for the larvae to develop) so will need finely crushed foods. Definitely cover your intake to protect them. The fish will likely relish the free live food source.

if they are red claw shrimp they will DEVOUR their babies. keep parents seperate and use a sponge filter.

EDIT: asslo use some salt after they hatch, it helps them. i had several broods die before because no salt...the others fell victim to parents.
