I am new on this site and in aquariums. I am trying a semi "natural" aquarium with flathead minnows, ghost shrimps, leeches, planaria, trapdoor, ramshorn, and typical snails, boatmans, some insect nymphs (i think dragon flies), dving beatles etc. I have alot of plants mainly hornwart and duckweed. everything is local (iowa usa) except for the ghost shrimp and a couple of plants (water cabbage and colombo) wondering if others use local fish and insects in there tanks. tips welcome. i don't filter just use a bubblier water is very clear, had it up for 6 months)
