giant gourami and red tail giant gourami

has anyone ever mixed these guys ?im growing a red tail out just now and was considering keeping a couple of the beasts any thoughts ?

Ive mixed them the normal GG seem to be too agressive for the RTGG and outgrow them.

ah what size tank and what size are the fish ? do they not mellow out when they age ?

This was in a 6x2x2 the GG was 4" the RTGG was 8", i now have 2 RTGG in a 6x4x2 pond at 16-18"

It can work if you have a male and female, but two males will fight. Sometimes, the fish may just not like each other.
