Giant gourami- cichlid and tropical food question ?

Hi everyone, can someone explain what different between cichlid food and tropical food ? And why they make 2 different food but ingredients looks like the same? now I have golden giant gourami- so what should I have to use cichlid food or tropical food to feeding him? Thanks

Best food for small GG would be NLS Algaemax. Regular fish food has too much protein, for vegetarians such as GG. Mine loves romaine lettuce and cilantro. As it got bigger, I started feeding it fresh berries and soft flesh fruits. I do give regular pellets once a week just to give it a little bit of protein.

My golden giant gourami only 3.5” right now- so I need to feeding him more protein and will cut off protein whenever he gets bigger- thanks

Best staple food for giant gourami

Hi I’ve just reserved a giant gourami and I’m trying to do a bit of research and planning before I pick him up. Tank, filtration etc is all covered. He’ll be a friend for my rescued rtc and eventually they’re gojng to live in a indoor pond. I’m just trying to buy some pellet food for him...
