Giant Gourami - Dither fish required?

Hi all, I have recently purchased a 5cm - 6cm Grey Giant Gourami, and I am keeping it in a 5'x2'x2' with a Senegal Bichir and an Ompok bimaculatus. The Gourami seems to be really shy, and stays up one end of the tank alot of the time, only swimming around the whole tank occasionally. In the LFS where I bought it, it was in a small tank with other fish, and it seemed a lot more outgoing. Do you think that adding a few shoaling / dither fish will be an advantage, or are most small GG's like this?

Probably wouldn't hurt to add some Giant Danios or something like that

Would Silver Dollars work? If so, how many do you reckon would be a good number? Also, I know they're not really dither fish, but would Pink Tail Chalceus be okay with my fish?

Yep dollars would work fien ive kept my RTGG and GG with dollars.

Agreed, we keep dollars with our EEGG, as long as they know who is the boss. Grey's should be fine as they are a bit more peaceful
