Giant Gourami! Good Deal???

I found a giant gourami on Craigslist and was wondering if this was a good deal. He is 17" and will be housed in my 400 gallon. He's $100 firm and it will cost me about $30 in diesel to go and get him. I've wanted a GG for forever but haven't had the tank space until now. Is he worth it or should I just wait?
 
Maybe I should wait. What area are you in?
 
Sounds like I need to move to chicago. I'm gonna try to get the seller down to
$70. If not I'm in no hurry to find my dream monster. I've waited over 10 years so a couple more months won't kill me.
 
That's about what I see the white variety advertised for on MFK's, although you do hear of people giving them away occasionally. Depending on species/variety and if the fish is healthy it's not a bad deal, after all it does take a fair share of tank space/resources to grow them out.
