I know that GG's like to own their tanks and putting fish with them whilst they are alone in their own tank is a recipe for disaster, usually. This has been my experience and I won't do it again.

However, i've also read that if you do it the other way round, putting your GG in a tank with other fish when the GG isn't the dominant owner, then this can work. They're not as boisterous because they look on the other fish as being the owners of the tank? Maybe, I don't know.

Maybe the GG would still be a jerk, but only for a short period of time until he got used to his new "friends"? What's your guys experiences with putting GG's with other fish, especially when they've been on their own for a few years?

I cant speak for GG but RTGG. My RTGG was king of all *******s in the world untill i put 7 thinbar myleus in his tank. Now he is as docile as an little lamb on tranqualizers. He used to hate all fish with passion. Before i bought him he was the boss in his previous tank on 9000L that housed large cichlas large cats and a twice as big pair of GG. In my tank he almost killed one IT and one paratilapia polleni wich is a mean little thing.

My gg can be a terd but for the most part he gets along g with other as long as they're faster than him (silver dollars) or bottom dwellers that dont take up HIS space of the tank like the mid and top levels

My GG started at under 4", and was one of the smallest fish in my 75. Then as it grew larger it became an ahole, and slowly and randomly harass tank mates to DEATH.
Still love it though!
