Giant LNG in seine/ baby gar help

Me and my friend went seining for baby LNG and failed but succeeded in a different way. All we caught was a few shiners and this monster. The creek we were a is full of gar, and the spawn recently ended, so where are the YOY? Also upset i saw a northern hogsucker and missed it with my dipnet.

Best way to find young gar are in the weeds that line the banks of the creek. At night its easy, all you need is a bright flashlight, seine or dip net, slowly walk the edges of the weeks or bushes that are hung over the creek, timber, etc. You should have no trouble finding them.

The problem about that is it is a really rocky creek with no weeds or vegetation. I may try going this weekend at night if the rain stays away.

I'm sure they are around still, probably is the calm pool, shallow water areas.
