that's funny I was also thinking about posting this pic......I'd love to have one of these guys...I'm hoping mine lung will turn out to be a p aethiopicus aethiopicus..
 
Marbled lungfish? Makes me want one even more.. and I was just thinking of ordering an African.. better get myself a species name huh? :-)

Btw, I think the albino lung next to the dog belongs to neo here. Not sure though. You insult his fish and he'll feed you to them!
 
Haha, it wasn't supposed to be an insult. It's still an awesome fish. It just gets old when there are five posts all saying "Wow look at this lungfish!" and they're all the same picture.
 
i agree with mrguypearson, that albino pic is posted all the time! and it's not knocking the fish or the owner, just the repetitiveness of the posting. personally, i like all the normal "morphs" of the fishes better than their counterparts.

as for the giant aethiopicus, VERY impressive!

it should also be noted, for those looking into these fish, that most P. aethiopicus brought in (at least to the US) are P. aethiopicus congicus, as opposed to P. aethiopicus aethiopicus. the former stays a bit smaller (based on wild max) and has a more ornate pattern, and the latter gets bigger (these are the 6' potential giants) and has a plainer pattern--
