Giant Peruvian Snail pwned by Oscar

So I got home one day after work and went downstairs to say hello to the fishies. To my unhappy surprise my giant peruvian apple snail was destroyed....by my oscar. He cracked the shell open and ate the snail (fat ass). So my dilemma is do i leave shell in the tank or do I let my fish finish it off? My pleco has been giving it some love lately so i figured maybe it's a treat for him. What do you guys think? the picture here is an after math photo

I have tridit tens of times. Have my tanks full of empty snail shells.

Plecos will eat just about anything... they will even eat the slime coat off of other fish. Never put one in your breeding tank or they will eat the eggs.
