I was just curious why I don't ever see the monster of monster poly on MFK? Why does nobody have the endlicheri congicus? Are these rare in the trade? Do they work with the other poly species without food in them? Where can I find one?

You must not be looking hard enough! There are loads of people with 22"+ Polys on here, myself included.

I am talking about the giant 38" endlicheri congicus. Yes I know laps, ornates, and endlicheri get 2 foot fairly easy.... bug I'm looking for those giant species...

The largest Cong on this board was probably Hao Hao 's late Cong Godzilla. Which I believe was around 25".

I could be mistaken though, only been around 4 years or so.

There's only a handful of Polys that are in the range you are looking for. It takes a long time for a poly to get that big. It's also almost impossible to grow one that big in an aquarium, (they have to be WC). It's not that these fish are rare in general, it's that they're rare at those sizes.

It was only yesterday that I was thinking my ornate is pushing 20" + now :)

30" plus wild specimens are usually obtained in Japan or overseas elsewhere. Guess money follows the higher demand.

I will say not many are displayed or shared above 26" in the U.S. They appear to go for $600 plus for ones above 26 if available.

That can be true of them going for more from a reseller on a 26" or bigger specimen. There was a fellow mfk'er listing his 26" ansorgii for a of $600 in 2015. A deal for us. I'm sure somebody snatched that up quick.

Oh wow. I never saw that one for sale. Would've tried to snag that one for myself hahah.
