Does anyone know if this is a good idea for a tank? The only problem is the sides are rubbery/plastic

if you have the space, then I would say go for it. I'm personally always looking for the cheapest and most efficient way to set something new up. I had a little kiddie pool running for awhile, but I wasn't to thrilled about it. These pools might be more useful

I can see the page now. I wouldn't do it. I would be scared a fish could damage the lining.

its really a lot thicker than you think. If it can hold 900 plus gallons, then I think it would be tough for your fish to rip through it. But if you really want to be safe, you could outline it with some type of liner just to be safe.
