Would two giant raphael be okay in a rubbermaid 300 gallon stock tank for life or do they need a much bigger tank

If you are referring to the niger cat, they may require a larger container eventually. They get up to about 36". It will take a while but do grow fast.

Usually giant raphael refers to Megalodoras uranoscopus, which get roughly 2 feet. A 300 gallon should be fine depending on the dimensions.

Never mind, I see they are the same fish. I have one and he does grow pretty fast and I barely see him move or eat, pretty nocturnal, same as my Rip Saw Catfish (O. niger).

I found another plastic trough with these dimesion of 87 inch length by 63 inch wide and about 20 inch deep would thise tank be better for two giant raphael plus three spotted and striped raphael for life versus the rubbermaid dimension of 69 inch length by 63 inch width and 25 inch deep?
