Giant shrimp in the filter?

So I was at a new LFS the other day and they had filters with bio balls in them, but in the intake (which was a large box shape) they had these giant shrimp-like things. I was wondering what those were? Sorry I don't have any pics. They were see through though. If anyone has any insight on this, it would be appreciated.

Somehow I wouldn't think anyone would consider amano shrimp as giant. Without a picture it is pretty hard to say, maybe they were crayfish.

My Amano shrimp are giant compared to my RCS, so it depends on what you're comparing them to.

The ones I have are think and around 3-4 inches each...

Keeping them in a filter to eat detritus is not a bad idea. not the large fan shaped appendages they use to filter the water.

Then they are proably not amano shirimp

um idk id normally say ghost shrimp cause you said see through other than that if there giant idk
