Giant Waterbug

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the giant waterbug from the amazon that feeds on piranhas, other fish, etc. Its about 8" in size when mature.

Ive seen these, I use to see these in lakes/ponds. I used ot play with them when I was in the water. There was also this other bug that almost looked like a mosquito, and it would stay above the water and move around.

Neither one of those links are to the right insect, this one lives in the amazon and is 8 inches in size.

Youre right, I wasnt. I was talking about the water bug that the other poster posted. I know you said 8 inch, so I know that bug isnt the one you are talking about.
