Do you mean the Mekong River Giant Catfish, Pangasianodon gigas? The largest ever caught was something like 9 feet long and 646 pounds, and they are an endangered species.

probably talking about the mekong catfish (pangasius gigas). Its endangered and impossible to get.

Just get a paroon shark (pangasius sanitwongesi) basically the same size. Also gigas are algae eaters.......so if you got a big one, what you gonna do? Feed it a 50 lb algae wafer ?

I never heard anything about arapaima gigas getting 17 ft......I thought max was around 10-12 ft or so.

its a arapaima 10ft thats crazy we just got 2 little guys about4 or 5in
