Gill Curl & jaw problem

What's the best method to cure gill curl?

(only the soft part curled, and not the boney plate)

1) drug the fish and cut it?

2) use a powerful powerhead and blow it against the fish till it heal?

3) leave it alone? and let it grow out of it?

and

if the lower jar is longer than the upper jaw

is there any cure to it?

As far as I know there is no cure for PLJ, but with gill curl it is usually caused by too small of a tank or poor water quality, so unless you remedy the problem first no use trying surgery.

For the curl I would just drug and cut before it gets worse. Might be a good idea to look for the cause of the curl.

bigger tank & cleaner water always help with the gill curl thing.

its one of the bad water sign, create a one way current in the tank using powerhead to gently massage the curling gills
