gill curl the cut off !

right i have had a rtc that has got exteamly bad gill curl ive been told to cut it off as it wont unless u cut it off and treat her so ive cut the 1 side off just the soft bit and when that side has grown back ill get the other side and when that side grows back do the other side and when that grows back cut the other side and it should be gone then so any advice ive treated it with salt ATM will get some melafix friday for her then but im hoping this gill curl will go away it felt very harsh to do it but its best for the fish in the long run ! how long till her gills grow back ? (its the soft bit not the gill plate lol just incase you fort that) ??? and ideas ?

not long,maximum few weeks , fish usually recover very quickly.
got ay pictures of operation?

Aren't you just a kid? I don't really think you've got the credentials to be operating on living creatures.

im 15 and the bloke that helped me has been keeeping fish all his life he helped me with it im sure he knows what hes doing after keeping fish all his life he has a huge fish house !!! ill try and get some pictures of it ! ;) if he will let as he runs a other fish site so might not :/ but ill try but cheers any way mate .
