I just was down stairs cleaning out my filter and I noticed that 1 of my angel fish was swimming by another and flaring it's gills at it. I think that one that it's doing it at is a Girl, but I'm not sure.

Then the same angel fish will then go up and, nibble like, on the front of the other. The other one will tip it's head up towards the water surface and let it continue to nibble. It looks rather gentle.

Is this breeding behavore?? It's colors have been darker for the past couple of days. The one flaring it's gills was born in march, and the other one I'm not sure about. Is this aggresion saying "This is my part of the tank!"?

Thanks to anyone that can help!

Went down to get some pics and I noticed that they both are doing it now. They are also aggresive when the other 2 angel fish go near the peice of drift wood with Anubias plants on it. They are both flaring gills.

I will post pics in a little while!

One of them has an egg tube out.

Here are what they look like!

It seems that the angel fish behind the one in the last pic was getting bullied the most. So I moved it to a spare 20G. That only leaves 3 in the 75g.

Anybody??!! I Know that I'm not the only one on MFK trying to breed angels!!

Right now there are 3 angels together in the 75G. The 2 bigger ones are flaring gills at each other as well as at the smaller one. But the smaller one is not flaring back. The 2 bigger ones that are flaring at each other both have there papillas down (Egg tube). But the smaller one does not...???
