gills slightly cureled

I have a baby red tail cat and his gills have got a slight curel to them ive noticed recently, is this normal, something i can do? thanks zach

how bad and where are the curves? is it real noticable? do u have any pics? pics would help the best

The curel isnt horrible, i have seen alot worse. I just want to know if it is common and if it is preventable, ill try to get pictures up in a little bit.

Hey Zach.........The gill curl is caused by prolonged exposer to poor water quality. Keeping that fish in a tank that small is a problem. In order to keep the water quality up to par you would have to do almost daily water changes. Get that big tank up and running ASAP.

ummmm yea i got a shovel nose...and only one gill is curling...i did have a crazy ph problem but its fixed now...will the tiger shovel nose die from this? and wat can i do about the gill curl?
