giraffe catfish

I just traded mine for a different catfish the other day but it would eat most of the floating cichlid pellets that I put in for my emperor and champs cichlids. It would also try to eat all of the sinking food,it always got more than its share.

i picked up a 2'er from another member a couple weeks ago. still hasnt eaten. he skims over the meat that i get down to the bottom for him but he doesnt eat it, even when he is out skimming sifting through the sand. eventually he will be hungry enough and he will eat it. he's a catfish, the hunger always wins.

p.s. its damn difficult getting meat down to the bottom for him to not even eat it. that is the most frustrating part of it. to go through the work then have him not even eat it.

sorry no pics as of yet. im kind of lazy when it comes to showing off my fish. requires soo much work to keep everything going that when it comes time to show it off im usually too tired to get the camera out and snap a couple pics. my wife was looking at new cameras tonight so maybe if she gets one i will talk her into taking a bunch of pics for me.

did you get pics of your arapaima? Don't be lazy! If you can post, you can take pics too :)

My guy really prefers sinking carnivore pellets and massivore over the tilapia or shrimp that I feed. He's a total vacuum cleaner, but just doesn't go crazy for the meat. GL with your cat. They're just wonderful fish.

Maybe you should stop wearing yourself out with the meat and try him on the sinking pellets for now.
