I have an 11-12in giraffe catfish that stopped eating the cichlid gold sinking pellets I feed all my fish, and will only eat shrimp, earthworms, bloodworms, and algae wafers. Just wondering if that’s a healthy diet for him or if I should try to get him back on pellets? Also let me know if I should try something new to add to his diet.

Personally I would say just keep feeding the whole tank a varied diet (assuming he is in with other fish) and he will eat what he wants.
I also included thiaminase free whitefish and cooked musselmeat which I found they tended to like.
Yes, he is with other fish and only eats what he wants, mostly the meaty foods. Thanks for the new foods, will definitely try it out.👍🏼

I don't see any red flags if the shrimp is cooked (and hence thiaminase destroyed).

It depends on the relative amounts. If the shrimp accounts for the majority of the diet weightwise, I'd not risk it and only feed cooked shrimp, because the rest of the diet is nice and rich in the needed vitamins and minerals. So shrimp would be almost entirely just a source of protein.

I think affordable shrimp only comes frozen, raw and cooked. So frozen does not equal raw. If the package says raw, I'd cook it (e.g. boil or microwave).
