Having moved all of my fish to a 55 gallon my gf wanted new fish in the 20 gallon i keep at school with us. she went out and bought a gsp and not being sure how to take care of him i have turned to you guys. what kind of substrate is ideal? i've read you need to get them something to chomp on to keep their teeth in check. will they munch on gravel or should i do as i read and go get a few clams for it? any and all help is appreciated. Oh BTW i have the aquarium salt in my tank but have read that it will not help out with the salinity and i should use instant ocean? any further info on that would be appreciated as well.

Lmao thats exactly what I'm going through, except my girlfriend wants a Congo or a red eye puffer.

well, the things i give my gsp to munch on are frozen bloodworms.you can get them at any fish store, plus,if you do give them these, they will grow HUGE!you can also give them snails because crustaceans are part of their regular diet,so that would be a good idea.i hope this helps!

brackish, low nitrates, snails, hard water, cycled tank, picky eaters, min 30G per adult puffer, just a few key words, sorry watching my blazers play the clips so i dont have all the words
