ok so my gf notorious for bad fish keeping procedure told me last night her damsel and tang had ick over the phone.
im confident that she knows how to apply a drop of the med per day and every day after do a 1/4 water change before re-applying until its gone... but then she told me her method of doing a water change...
she takes out all her fish from the tank and then does the water change. i told her thats a contributing factor to her ick problem. every time she changes the water she stresses them duh! she then said that "thats what the instant ocean box says to do"? and for some reason im positive she read it / miscomprehended it.
why would you need to net your fish and move them to do a 1/4 water change? well actually i never had to change my water when it came to my salt aquariums cause my late father did it but just how DO you commence a saltwater change in a 10 gallon tank? don't you salinitize the water to be placed in a separate container anyway?? then dump it in?
