Hi,

these are gobys from the genus giurus, therefor its impossible that they could be channa. Its just a name they have, cause theyr head has scales on it like channid fish (snakeheads) have too.

Havent kept them, but they are great looking mid sized gobys.

They are actually not snakeheads or gobys. They are sleepers (eleotridae) i have a couple now, colorful medium sized sleepers with a huge appetite. Very nice fish

Hi,

in german sleepers and gobys are both named "Grundel", the sleepers are called "Schläfergrundel" schläfer=sleeper

cheers

Dont have any pics. They are eating live blackworms live brine shrimp cichlid fry and frozen bloodworms. There are a few sleepers called gobys all over the world, just dont want to send people in the wrong direction when looking for a id on a fish. Kinda like peacock bass look like bass but they are cichlids. Gobys ,sleepers and blennies have a lot of species that are very simular but all different families of fish. Hope this helps op

with your experience you have with this species of fish what do you think do you recommend I like active fairly aggressive fish. They seem to be very colorful and also quite rare in the aquarium hobby.
