I have a 75g
I want reef safe fish/ maybe some with caution to, environment
300$ and i order from liveaquaria
What would you get?
doesnt have to be what i want just to give me some ideas.

If it were my tank I would get:
-pair of clownfish
-a dwarf flame angle (can be risky with corals)
-and either a foxface or yellow minic tang

Depending on what grows in the tank, a clean-up crew consisting mostly of snails and maybe a emerald crab.

For corals, like like the easier ones like: frogspawn, zoas, green stars, long tentical plate corals.

Just a few ideas to look into

Environmentally friendly, stick with the clowns, but get some other stuff that can be aquacultured.

Just look on their site, if it says tank bred, that means its at least not directly damaging existing ecosystems.

Most of fosters actual corals are certified captive grown. Its easy to see the seal of this on most of their coral pages, if it doesnt have that, you know to stay away.

Good stock list here. I would consider adding a blenny or goby to this list and you would be fully stocked.

I would be careful in adding everything at once. That can cause big problems with the bacteria that breaks down waste. It will be overwhelmed by multiple organisms being introduced at once.

what fish can I do with a lunar wrasse? I heard bad things about them but i got a deal on this 3 incher that was hard to resist. Clowns maybe? Some sort of tang? Or some kind of dwarf angel? Could i get away with any corals with this wrasse in there, Like soft, polyps etc ?

You should be able to do(but possibly not) the clowns with a tang(only a yellow, scopas, or kole because they stay the smallest) or a pygmy angel.

The problem with the lunar wrasse is that it gets big(up to 10 inches) and really should be in a bigger tank than a 75 gallon. On top of that it is aggressive and will be even more aggressive in the smaller confines of your aquarium.

As far as compatibility with corals, you are most likely screwed. You may be able to use the trial and error method, but that most likely will just be an expensive snack for this fish. You also won't be able to get any snails or crabs with it because it will proly eat those too.

I really would consider taking this fish back to the store no matter how good of a deal you got. This wrasse does not fit your tank or your plans for the tank at all. Impulse buys usually lead to demise in this hobby unfortunately(I am speaking from experience). The choice is up to you however...

Yeah i figured that wrasse would be trouble but I figured before I bought this wrasse for $13 that i would sell it to someone else for profit. But later on i plan on doing something with the 125, whats in it now is a 5year old Jaguar cichlid about 14inches with his wife, breeding back to back. so once his time comes i will have a larger tank

Thats a legit plan and I think your best bet. Trust me, wanting a larger tank is always the case no matter how big you have.

I also made a impulse buy 3 weeks ago for a haddons carpet anemone its 5 inches right now but i have 2 plans, get a couple clarkis or just one, 2/ sell it and be done. what you think?
