At least temporarily so I can buy another 90 gallon for just him.

He's a fairly aggressive fish, at least to bigger sized cichlids. He's a male 7"

I have these tanks:

1x 100g, full, can't go in this one.

1x 55g, has a bunch of African Cichlids. I wouldn't want him to rip them to shreds.

1x 40g, pair of Salvini's

1x 20g, where he's currently housed. He's very cramped in here, obviously.

I'm a bit low on cash right now (we just got caught up on bills), and will be for a couple months. I bought him at fry and I've contemplated giving him up but I just can't! I love him too much. I can't put him in his old tank, cause he'll kill everything. What can I do with this bad boy?

I'll listen to suggestions from putting the Africans into the 40g. I can get my hands on some 90g breeders for about $100, but that won't be for a couple months.

Give me some ideas! :WHOA:

Salvini's could probly survive with the mbuna for awhile and that would atleast be an upgrade for him.

The Africans are insane when it comes to anything that's not an African. The Salvini's are also on the verge of breeding, so I think the two combined aggression levels would be off the wall.

I've put the male Sal with the africans and the female into the 100g. I'll give them their own tank back when the Jag has his. Thanks for the input.

a 90 is the absolute smallest tank ajag should be in if expected to house it for any amount of time if its a male..but can be for life if a female however. 125 is acceptable has 2 extra ft but still only has a 18" width .......mine is 15.5 ive heard of them up to 16.5 1.5 inches isnt much to turn in.

Honestly I have used rubbermaid totes modified with canister/HOB filters from Walmart as growout tanks I still have one semi-setup as a QT if something breaks out. Totes can range from 20g-55g. your jag or salvini pair should be able to comfortable reside there for a moth or two atleast untilcome thru for them if you are really serious on grading your tank.
