Dont really have any experiance or know too much about bichirs!

but i was looking at some today and I was wondering if I should get one or not!

question is what kind of bichir should I get for my 210?


fish include

2x gars 16" spotted and 9" florida
2x future yepezi sting rays 8"
1x oscar 5"
1x jaguar cichlid 5"
1x barred midas 3"
1x festae 3"
1x asian redtail catfish 5.5"

the tank has some floating plants and alot of hiding places!

just want to know if there are any bichirs out there that I could get that would be fine in this tank!
 
a bichir wouldn't be safe in there with an asian rtc. those guys get huge and will probably eat or kill every fish you have in there.
 
yea, the artc might pose a problem, and plus bichirs might bite the ray, or the ray might eat the bichir. i dont suggest it with ur current set up

yeah you have some big monsters in there I would setup a smaller tank and try them out though. most people fall in love with them

this is off topic, but how does your festae behave w/ the rest of your fish? mine can not be w/ any tankmates that are less than twice his size or he will kill it. is yours this aggressive? is yours male or female?
