i posted my 55g with stand, canopy, xp3 filter, aquaclear and penguin biowheel 350 h.o.b filters on craigslist for $200.00. am i asking too much or is this a reasonable price?
also gravel, decor, fluval submersible heater and fish(3 balas, 4 silverdollars and 2 blue gouramies

I'd say that sounds like a pretty good deal but like fishmamma said really got to see a picture to be sure. Only reason I wouldn't get it is the fact it comes with balas and silver dollars and I know that a 55 wouldn't be a life tank for them.

IME a lot of people on craigslist have no idea what filter costs money and what doesn't. Maybe try selling the XP3 separately and lowering the price of the 55. Or keep the XP3 (owning one, I admit it's not my favorite filter though).

Depends what your local economy is like around there when it comes to tanks. I've seen them go for $300 around here for less of a set up, but at the same time I've seen them go for as low as $100 around here for a larger tank. Its really what the local people are willing to pay around there.

Its generally what you would pay for a 55gal tank at Walmart, minus the stand. So people might compare that. Pictures go a long way, so provide plenty of those.

Best of luck!
