They eat bloodworns.

Feeding a 11" clownknife with blood worms is not enough to sustain the fish. It will eventually get addicted to bloodworms and that's would be the only food that it will eat and feeders.

Starve it for 2 weeks and try putting some pellet or any food that you wanna feed that fish. Make sure the food is high in protein. Once they are hungry instinct will kick in and force itself to eat the pellets. It won't swallow it first but it will have a taste and it will eventually give up and start eating.

Knives seem to love bloodworms. Just give it time to adjust to prepared foods. It'll probably take some starving to get it off live, especially if it's been on live feeders this whole time. Variety is the best diet for it. Cut pieces of fish and shrimp, pellets, frozen bloodworms, live worms, etc.

OK, I'M ON WEEK ONE. NO FEEDERS, I JUST FED MY CATFISH SHRIMP AND CK ATE NOTHING. YESTERDAY I FED MASSIVORE PELLETS AND THE CK HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH ANY OF IT. DAMN THIS SUCKS! I HATE NOT SEEING ANY FISH EATING.

Be patient, I'm in the same process with my gold ck and it takes time.;) Try some silversides, and they seem to do better with sinking pellets first. At that size, the bloodworms are too small to be appetizing. Don't give up. Try doing it with the tank dark, they are nocturnal fish and will eat better in the dark.:D

thanks for the advice. im glad to hear someone else has the same opinion on the bloodworms. here in san diego we do have another type of bloodworm, that is used for saltwater fishing bait. i was thinking thats what some of the posts were refering to. i also have done silversides before but will try again. does anyone know if the silversides are the same as blue anchovies?
