Its not really a DIY project, but I didnt know where to post this.

Tank dimensions:
150x60x60 cm
4.92x1.7x1.7 ft

Question is:

What kind of glass thickness is needed?
The shop that is building my tank says 8mm (0.31496inch) is enough. They only do the bottom glass thicker, 10mm (0.3937 inch).

Will 8mm glass be enough?

Anyone can help me?

Tha safety calculator I use said that for that size 9mm would be the minimum to get the safety factor of 2,2 is the minimum safe factor to build and aquarium from.
As you cannot get 9mm glass 10mm alround should be used IMO.If you used 10mm that would give you a safety factor of 2.5.
I certainly would not get a tank of that size made out of 8mm front and sides.
