Right now I've got an aqueon 55 and aquaclear 110 HOBs on it, but I'm getting an oscar soon, so as my stock grows I'll need to consider the bioload of some SDs, an Oscar, severum and a pleco, but the tank being glass, I can't drill overflows, so I don't know how I should go about pumping water in and out of the tank, any suggestions for other filtration methods or ways of pumping water?

you can hook up a canister (Fluval, Ehiem ect) over the back also, some come with kit for that reason? I have a fluval 304 along with an Eclips3 top on a 40gal. Some 55's will fit 2 Eclips tops? not sure of the one you have? But I think canister would be your best bet, without drilling holes.

Technically if your up for the challenge, and the glass isn't tempered you could drill them out. Many videos on Youtube of how to do it.

If not. Go with a couple of Fluval 405s or an FX5 and and the AC110

Throw on an fx5

I have a 5' 120. For filtration, I use a Fluval 405 canister, Emperor 400 HOB, undergravel filter w/2 powerheads, and a foam filter. It is stocked with Malawi Africans.

My water parameters are great and the water stays crystal clear.
